KTA Meetings:

Keene City Council Meetings:

City Council meetings are open to the public. They are held at the above location on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. The time may vary when there are public hearings.

School Board Meetings:

School Board meetings are open to the public. They are held at various times and places on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. The time and place are finalized on the Thursday before the meeting and is then available by calling SAU 29 at 357-9002.

Cheshire County Commissioners Meetings:

The meetings are held each Wednesday. The time and place varies and there may be last minute changes to the schedule. Call 352-8215 to confirm date, time and location.

Our Purpose:

To serve the citizens of Keene and surrounding communities by:

assisting citizens to understand the policies and procedures by which annual projections of receipts and disbursements are developed and approved by the City of Keene, Cheshire County, and School Administrative Unit 29 (SAU-29).

providing a forum for review and discussion of proposed annual budgets during their formative stages and to assist citizens who express an interest in presenting constructive suggestions at committee meetings and public hearings.

taking all appropriate steps to keep the general public, and specifically taxpayers in the City of Keene and surrounding communities, informed of the status and the tax implications of proposed actions by governmental bodies which may impact on local taxpayers in the future.
